Worship & Music
This team works with the Pastor and Music Director to plan meaningful and inspiring regular and special worship services that are user-friendly, welcoming, and faithful to the Gospel. All things music and worship-related come under the leadership of this team. Contact Person: Becky Nelson Mission At First Lutheran, where we strive to be "first, servants of all", we care deeply about the needs of the less advantaged in our community, nation, and world. This team takes on the ministry of engaging the congregation in providing help to those who need it, as witness to God's justice and love. Contact Person: Linda Mueller Congregational Life In order to promote relationships and fellowship, this team plans events that help the members and friends of FLC connect with each other spiritually and socially. They also find creative and innovative ways to invite and welcome folks from the surrounding community to congregational functions. Contact Person: Jane Knott Facility & Property Committed to ensuring that we take care of this House of God that we have been entrusted with, this team understands and cares about the ins and outs of building and property maintenance as well as capital improvements. Education
With the Pastor and Education Coordinator, this team strives to plan and implement creative, fun, and inspirational educational activities, such as Sunday School, VBS, Confirmation, and adult classes that encourage participants to grow in faith and faithfulness. Contact Person: Cindi Habas Youth The ministry of this team is to plan educational, social, and service opportunities for our youth that are fun and engaging, to get them excited about living their Christian faith. Contact Person: Kylie Stewart Health This team cares about the physical, emotional/psychological and spiritual health of our members. Together, they work with the Parish Nurse to provide educational materials and opportunities, as well as develop programs that holistically address the health-related needs of FLC members. Contact Person: Tim Ludwig Pastor-Parish The purpose of the Pastor-Parish committee is to facilitate communication between the pastor and the congregation.
