At First Lutheran, all are welcome and we invite you to worship with us! Though we view our lives and serving others as ways of worshiping God, each week we gather in worship to hear God's Word, praise God in song and prayer, and come together at the Lord's Table. Regular, joyful worship is essential in developing a close relationship to our Lord. Join us in making worship a central part of your life!

Baptism
Jesus commands his followers to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew. 28:19)
For Lutheran Christians who want to carry out this “Great Commission” of our Lord Jesus Christ, baptism is one of two sacraments (sacrament means "God giving of God's self") instituted by Jesus (the other one is the Lord’s Supper). Baptism is offered as a very simple, real, down-to-earth and physical way of experiencing God in the world today.

Communion
We practice open communion at First Lutheran. We welcome all to the Lord's table, knowing that with the bread and wine we receive the body and blood of our Lord for the strengthening of our faith, and for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe it is our Lord’s invitation to which all of us respond, our Lord’s Table around which we gather, our Lord’s gifts we receive. Communion is served every Sunday at both services. We offer gluten free wafers & grape juice as well as traditional communion wafers and wine.
If you have questions, concerns or are unsure please contact Pastor for more information.
Other Worship Opportunities
Check the calendar for more information about special services such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter and Thanksgiving Eve.
