PRAYER

Prayer, the Beating Heart of Faith
Prayer is at the heart of the life of faith and so prayer is also at the heart of a community of faith. Prayer is a profound act of faith and love. We pray for each other because, in the grace of God, we have been given to each other as sisters and brothers in Christ—given to each other to love and to care for, to support and to encourage. As we pray for each other, we commit each other to love, mercy, and wisdom of God.

In prayer we ask God for what we need for ourselves and others, and we express our praise and thanksgiving for the good things in our lives. Prayer is a time to speak with God about our joys as well as our sorrows, our hopes and dreams as well as our fears and anxieties. In prayer we can vision the future and seek divine wisdom, guidance and strength in moving toward and realizing that vision.

If you would like your prayer request brought to the attention of the Parish Nurse/Pastor please fill out the form below or call the church office, 320-632-6667.
